Refreshing Web Pages

Occasionally, you may not be viewing the most up-to-date version of a web page after it has been modified. This is due to the way web browsers "cache", or save, web pages locally on your own computer in order to save time in retrieiving a fresh copy of the page.

If you suspect there may be a newer version of a page you are viewing, you can refresh the page, telling the browser to request a fresh copy.

In Internet Explorer (IE), press the F5 key or from the Menu Bar select "View" and "Refresh".

In Firefox, press F5 or Ctrl and R, or from the menu bar select "View" and "Reload".

Which pages should I refresh ?

The Home Page is a good possibility, since new items in a web site are sometimes noted on the very first page. Also, any page that is intended to show current news items or features could be refreshed.

Finally, any page that, based on the content of the page, is likely to be modified frequently would be a good candidate.
